Mudam Luxembourg – Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean is looking for a Mediation Officer to join its Publics Department.
Opened in 2006 in a building designed by world-renowned architect Ieoh Ming Pei, Mudam is Luxembourg’s museum of contemporary art. Our mission is to collect, preserve and present the most relevant contemporary art of our time and to make it accessible to as wide an audience as possible. We aim to be a leading force in the promotion and understanding of contemporary art through our exhibitions, publications and artistic and educational programmes. Mudam has always been a place of artistic creation and collaboration with artists.
Located at Europe’s heart in a cosmopolitan country of no fewer than 179 nationalities, we strive to engage every community and facilitate their access to contemporary art. We are committed to making the museum a living space for dialogue – open to all – where the questions of our contemporary society can be addressed and debated. We champion a more inclusive, tolerant and responsible world in which museums play a privileged role in passing on culture to future generations.
Publics Department
The Publics Department develops educational projects for diverse audiences and ensures that Mudam is a welcoming space where everyone feels at home. We contribute to an open, inclusive and diverse society by using contemporary art as our main vehicle for engagement.
Under the supervision of the Head of Publics, the Mediation Officer will actively implement and oversee educational projects and activities for a wide and varied audience (children, adolescents, adults, seniors, school groups and people with special needs), while ensuring the department’s administrative and organisational operations run smoothly.
