Education Manager (m/f/x)

Music mediator (m/f/x), Permanent contract, full-time

The Philharmonie Luxembourg is one of the leading concert halls in Europe and manages the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg (OPL - the national orchestra of Luxembourg).

The Education Department creates, produces and promotes a full range of concert performances for young audiences as well as a far-reaching schools and workshop programme.

As an Education Manager, you will be part of the Education Department and will oversee the following tasks:

  • Project management and organization of concert productions (sometimes staged) for young audiences. 
  • Development and implementation of the Philharmonie’s school programme in close collaboration with the musicians of the OPL.
  • Planning and implementation of workshops and creative and participatory projects for children and teenagers.
  • Undertaking a wide range of managerial and administrative tasks and contribute to the day-to-day running of the Education Department.

We are looking for a team-oriented and well-organised individual with an affinity for music education. You have an academic degree as well as some professional experience in the field of music education and/or in project and cultural management. 

Commitment, reliability, and communication skills in contact with artists, colleagues and project partners are central to your working style. Flexibility and a willingness to work on weekends are essential. Due to an international working environment, fluency in at least two of the following languages is requested: French, English, German.
