Let's pitch it! Workshop with Stefano Tealdi

The art of pitching is the professional oral presentation of a project idea or story. A task that even brilliant filmmakers and producers often fail at. A successful pitch of a film project can decide whether a project is realized or not.

What makes a good pitch? Where to start? Presenting your project in an interesting and successful way in a short time is a real challenge for authors – directors and producers.

During four intensive days, accompanied by expert Stefano Tealdi, participants will be able to discover and experience all the secrets of a successful pitch by working in small groups on their own projects.

We accept fiction, documentary and series projects regardless of the format (short, long, medium, etc.) and genre.

Audience: professional authors – directors or students, Luxembourgish or living in Luxembourg.
We also accept participants without a project up to a limit of five per session.

Maximum number of participants: 10 participants with a project to pitch + 5 observers.

As part of the collaboration between the Film Fund Luxembourg and the CNA to support laureates of the grant “aide aux auteurs”, the 10 winning projects are automatically selected. The number of remaining places will be defined according to their confirmation of participation.

Apply for the workshop by sending a file containing:

  • A CV / biography detailing all your writing and directing experiences.
  • If your project is fiction: a synopsis of the current project (1 A4 page) + project treatment + development status.
  • If your project is a documentary / non-fiction: a description of the project, the theme, the concept, any characters + project treatment + development status.
  • Trailer or teaser if available.

Deadline for applications: January, 31, 2025.

Please send your complete application to: mylene.carriere@cna.etat.lu

All files are treated in the strictest confidentiality; the selection is made jointly by Mylene Carriere (CNA) and Stefano Tealdi.
