The City of Differdange is proud to launch the call for projects for the 11th International Sculpture Symposium, taking place from 26 May to 6 June 2027 in Differdange.

Theme of this edition: “Racines – Roots”

With this theme, we invite artists to explore the idea of roots in all its dimensions — identity, origin, memory, stability and transformation.
“Roots” reflects the multicultural richness of our city, its strong historical connection to the steel industry, and its constant evolution through time.

We are looking for powerful, thoughtful, and original stone sculptures that engage with this theme and resonate with today’s world.

• The material for the 2027 edition will be stone.
• Six sculptors will be selected by a jury.
• Symposium dates: 26 May – 6 June 2027
• Application deadline: 5 June 2026
