CinEast Opening Event - Lidiya Koycheva & Balkan Orkestra

As the 17th edition of the CinEast Festival kicks off in style, don’t miss an exceptional evening with Lidiya Koycheva and her Balkan Orkestra, followed by an electrifying DJ party.

Lidiya Koycheva, daughter of a renowned accordionist and a professional Balkan folk dancer, hails from central Bulgaria and began her musical journey with classical piano training, winning international competitionsL and touring Europe. At 17, she moved to Italy, rediscovered her love for singing and Balkan folk music, and soon gained recognition in the World Music scene. Lidiya has performed at numerous international festivals and released six albums, sharing the stage with artists like Goran Bregović and Dubioza Kolektiv. In 2022, she launched her solo project, Lidiya Koycheva & Balkan Orkestra, delivering energetic, danceable tunes. 

The concert will be followed by a DJ party, continuing the night with explosive mixes of Roma sounds, Balkan beats, and more. Authentic Eastern European food will be available to keep the energy high throughout the event.
