Queen Esther Marrow and her incomparable Harlem Gospel Singers have delighted audiences around the world for over twenty years. The Harlem Gospel Singers' unique sound awakens hope and joy with a musical message that has moved audiences across continents. Luxembourg audiences will have the privilege of experiencing this unique atmosphere at the Grand Théâtre's traditional New Year's Eve event and on New Year's Day.
The Grande Dame of Gospel has chosen to include Luxembourg in her great farewell tour and audiences are guaranteed an evening of traditional gospel and uplifting entertainment as Queen Esther Marrow and her singers share their magical message of hope and joy, touching the hearts of the audience in an incomparable manner.
Discovered by the late Duke Ellington when she was 22 years old, with fifty years on stage Queen Esther Marrow has shared the stage with Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Ella Fitzgerald, Miriam Makeba, B. B. King, Harry Belafonte, Mahalia Jackson and Ray Charles and her velvety rich voice continues to impress and in recent years she has poured her heart and soul into a successful collaboration with German hit songwriter and soul superstar Xavier Naidoo and producer Michael Herberger.
