Tarantula - in Luxembourg is born out of the meeting of two great minds in 1995, that of Eddy Géradon-Luyckx and Donato Rotunno.
Tarantula - in Belgium came to light in 1996 with the association of Tarantula Luxembourg with the producer Joseph Rouschop, allowing him to have access to greater resources and professional expertise from members of related industries, and developing further human relations.
Tarantula Distribution - in Luxembourg was introduced in June 2011, by Donato Rotunno and Joseph Rouschop. This new company, managed by Donato Rotunno and coordinated by Emilie Lacourt, aims to promote and distribute films produced or coproduced by Tarantula Luxembourg, on the territories of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg."
Tarantula gathers the expertise of professionals in film production and direction through meetings with international producers. A privileged attention, a strong commitment and support to on-going projects from the script development until the film distribution are the strengths of Tarantula.
In the aftermath of the success of the film “Une part du Ciel” at the Festival of Cannes in 2002 and others well-acclaimed films in festival around the world (Mobile Home, Calvaire, Frères d’exil, Nue Propriété, Carré Blanc, and many more), Tarantula Luxembourg opted to work on bringing more ambitious international coproduction projects to life, while remaining close to its neighbouring countries such as Belgium, where it has a privileged relationship with Tarantula Belgique who benefits from the Belgian Tax Shelter program. Tarantula also collaborates with producers from further in Eastern Europe such as Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland: This is the case with future productions like Clownwise and Immigrants.
