Musée littéraire Victor-Hugo
The House of Victor Hugo comprises an overview upon his biography and an outline on his relations with the Grand Duchy. Beside showrooms the museum has a library, a multi-media space and a shop.
The House of Victor Hugo in Vianden lodges the literary Museum which comprises an overview upon his biography and an outline on his relations with the Grand Duchy. You will be able to visit in particular:
- The room of Victor Hugo with the furniture of origin, holographic projection, mannequin;
- original exhibits;
- 70 panels arranged in wall-albums;
- Multi-media room (multimedia and Internet terminals) and the library of the association;
- Audio-guidance in four languages: French, German, Dutch or English.
- Shop of the Museum.
The current museum has reopened in 2002 after 3 years of restoration. Compared to the museum which functioned between 1935 and 1998, the museography was completely put up to date and integrates all the tools of presentation currently available regarding typography and new technologies of information and communication.
